Animal Groups (Classification) R-Year 3

The Grouping Animals: Junior Wildlife session is a 45 minute learning experience with a Zoo educator about how animals are grouped by their skin coverings and other observable features with a focus on Australian animal collection at Adelaide Zoo. This session relates to themes in Biological sciences in the Australian Curriculum and the Cross-curriculum priority, sustainability. Themes explored during the session include living and non-living things and grouping by observable features. Students use unique resources available at the Zoo to help them clarify fundamental concepts in classification.
