Going Ape: Saving species from extinction
This program will be running at Adelaide Zoo in Term 2, Weeks 1 – 3 (May 1st – 19th). It will focus on the critical role we can all play in Making a Difference for our closest neighbours, with lots of positive messages about what people can do to take action for these species. The program has been tailored to suit different age groups. Middle / Upper Primary and Secondary Geography.
Students will participate in a Conservation Educator-led session to learn about orangutans, their habitats and global efforts to save them. A fundraising activity, based on an action for sustainability, will be presented as an option for groups who attend but is not an expectation of taking part in this program.
