Threatened Species and Conservation: Years 8-12

During the Threatened Species and Conservation Day, students attend an introductory 45 minute session related to themes in Biological sciences in the Australian Curriculum. These themes include what are threatened species, why are there so many and who decides what species are threatened and how is this determined? The presentation includes talking about Zoos SA role in saving species from extinction.

Further information

Teachers can access PDF learning resources from the Zoos SA website that provides information for a self-facilitated inquiry about threatened species to complement the introductory session.
