Threatened Species: Reception to Year 3
The Threatened species: Junior wildlife session is a 45 minute learning experience related to Biological Sciences in the Australian Curriculum. Themes explored during the session include Australian and South-East Asian threatened animals, their physical features and different habitats. Threats to habitats and animals are discussed, as is the role of zoos in saving animals from extinction. The session includes a brief animal encounter with a friendly Australian mammal or reptile in a safe learning environment.
