Zoo School: Two or Three Day Program Years 4-7
Zoo School involves students using a Zoo Education classroom as a base for two or three days, receiving intensive input from an Education Officer and completing various self-directed curriculum-focused activities in the Zoo.
Themes covered are negotiated between school teachers and zoo education teachers and can be adapted to suit individual group needs. Themes are based on the Australian Curriculum.
Students investigate issues and actions that can be taken to address important conservation themes related to threatened species with a focus on Australian, African and South-East Asian animals and habitats.
An application process is used for bookings to ensure equitable access.
