Botanic Gardens and State Herbarium

Learn about the fascinating world of plants and their importance to all life on earth in the Adelaide, Mount Lofty and Wittunga Botanic Gardens.
Students from all age groups will learn about the connections between plants, people and the wider environment through a variety of curriculum aligned experiences.
Book self-guided, or educator-led options that cover a range of topics from Aboriginal Plant Use to Plant Adaptations or even surviving a year on Mars with the Space Botany program!
You can also find a suite of free digital resources in the Learning Hub on the Botanic Gardens website, to support a visit to the Gardens or just get your learners connecting with nature in their own communities.
As part of the education program, there is a variety of online and onsite teacher professional development, to support educators in connecting with the Botanic Gardens and wider natural environment.
