Monarto Safari Park

Zoos South Australia offers engaging education programs that connect students with nature and encourage involvement in conservation work. Students get close to animals and make connections between conservation and the decisions we make every day. Our programs focus on themes related to the Australian Curriculum and linked programs feature how people and organisations are saving species from extinction.

Only a one-hour drive from Adelaide, Monarto Safari Park education programs combine practical outdoor based activities, led by qualified teachers, with a choice of guided tours around the park. Students explore Monarto’s wide open spaces experiencing iconic animals and unique landscapes.

Explore the park’s 14km network of walking trails. There are a number of trails available ranging from easy to medium grading. During your walk you might even be lucky enough to spot some of the local wildlife including emus and echidnas.

School bookings

Monarto Safari Park is open from 9:30am – 5pm every day of the year. On days when a catastrophic fire ban is declared, the park will be closed.
