Monarto Zoo

Zoos SA is a charitable society dedicated to conservation with a mission to save species from extinction and to connect people with nature. Zoos SA has two zoos – Adelaide Zoo and Monarto Zoo.

Monarto Zoological Park, located 70 kilometers from Adelaide near Murray Bridge, is a 1500 hectare open range zoo with a focus on African and Australian animals set within Mallee bushland.

A team of educators delivers a range of programs based on the Australian Curriculum, SACE and the Teaching for Effective Learning framework. These education programs offer unique opportunities to engage students in conservation in real ways and make ongoing links that encourage and support student advocacy.
