Using this interactive website, students graph and interpret data to investigate and solve problems in sewage treatment. They learn about wastewater and apply their understanding of the processes to build a picture of what is working, or not working at a fictional wastewater plant, in the same way water scientists and engineers might. Data sets  provide students with evidence to hunt down the likely causes of problems that are provided as three scenarios. While detecting and solving these problems, students learn about the wastewater treatment process and how it impacts on human lives.

Teacher Resource and Website

The Sewage Sleuths teacher resource enables teachers to support student learning in the web-based inquiry.
