This workshop with an educator focuses on Monarto Zoo as a tourism destination, the role of a zoo and its sustainable practices. An accompanying Safari Tour showcases the public animal collection.
Through negotiation, a visit off-limits may be arranged.
Some understanding of tourism may be an advantage. A visit to Monarto is often in conjunction with a visit to another tourism destination such as Adelaide Zoo, Hahndorf etc.
What to bring
Materials to record reflection, take notes, etc as deemed necessary by individuals.
You are required to provide your own bus for the Safari Tour. Small groups (less than 15) may negotiate use of the Monarto bus but additional costs may be incurred.
