Windmill Production Company

Windmill Production Company creates and presents unique and contemporary theatre shows inspired by the vibrancy, modern sophistication and inventiveness of young people.

Since our inception in 2002, we have showcased our work to audiences far and wide, earning a global reputation as a leading producer of theatre for children, teenagers, and families.

Our award-winning Education Program brings together artists, educators and students to nurture the creativity and lateral thinking of young people, prioritising access for socio-economic and geographically disadvantaged students. Through our initiatives, we actively facilitate incredible experiences for students who wouldn’t otherwise be able to access live performance.

frequently askedquestions

Do you offer Work Experience programs?

Windmill offers at least one Work Experience opportunity each year. When and what these opportunities are vary from year to year depending on the work that is being developed and presented. Keep an eye on our Education page and sign up to our e-news to be notified of when Work Experience applications open each year.

How are programs aligned to curriculum?

All Windmill shows are accompanied by dedicated study guides created by leading arts educators and practising artists. The guides are linked to the Australian Curriculum and explore both pre and post-show activities. Find out more about our study guides HERE.

How do I book a program for my students?

Show School Bookings can be made via the Education page of the website. Windmill study guides for all shows plus immersive digital experiences can be found on the Windmill website HERE. In-school Workshops are delivered to schools that are level 1-4 on the Department for Education Index of Education Disadvantage during the premiere season of work or during a regional South Australian tour of a work.

If you would like to nominate your school for any future workshops please contact us at education@windmill.org.au. Please note that we cannot guarantee a workshop for your school.
