Students explore the four different environmental regions in the Biodiversity Gallery and the animals that live in these habitats. Student investigations look at the major animal groups of mammals, reptiles, insects, fish, birds, amphibians and snakes.
This program focuses on the idea that living things can be grouped together on the basis of observable features.
Prior knowledge
This program would be most effective if students already had a working knowledge of the terms: mammals, reptiles, spiders, insects, amphibians and crustaceans.
